Leeds United: Fans laud Ben White for role in draw with Derby County

A selection of Leeds United supporters have been using social media to laud the efforts of Ben White, after the 21-year-old put on a ‘majestic’ display in the Whites’ one-all draw with Derby County on Saturday.

White has featured in each Championship game on offer (WhoScored) since his arrival at Elland Road in the summer on a one-season loan deal from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion, and is yet to leave the field of play before the full-time whistle.

Saturday’s visit of Derby to West Yorkshire saw White line up once more alongside Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas, and was not beaten until the 91st minute when Chris Martin struck a late equaliser for the Rams.

Martin’s late goal was the fourth Leeds have conceded so far this season, and third the Whites have seen hit the net at home.

White’s role in holding Derby out until stoppage-time saw the Brighton product win each of his three attempted tackles, record two clearances and three interceptions – the most interceptions of any Leeds player.

Saturday’s draw also saw the Poole-born centre-back pen his best pass accuracy rating of the term at 93.6%, eclipsing the 91.8% achieved at home to Brentford in August.

Here are a selection of the messages shared by Leeds supporters of Whites’ performance against Derby…
