Kalvin Phillips has been one of the Leeds United’s players of the season in a mix-and-match campaign for the Whites. Indeed, you only have to look at the reports from Football Insider talking about how he impressed Manchester United’s scouts to see how well he has been performing.
It was more of the same last night as the 24-year-old impressed fans with his display with the supporters taking to Twitter to sing his praises. The defensive midfielder was influential at both ends of the pitch as Marcelo Bielsa lauded him, claiming he had an ‘impact’ (via Leeds Live). Phillips played the joint-most key passes (1) and attempted the third-most crosses (6) in the final-third, however, also made the joint-second most tackles (2) when defending (via WhoScored).
One fan claimed the Englishman was man of the match.
Man of the match by a mile.

It’s easy to see why he is being targeted by a Premier League big boy especially with such an impressive performance in a big game. He certainly got a pat on the back for his endeavours from the Elland Road faithful as they reacted to his display. Let’s take a look at some of the tweets:
Absolute beast in there tonight. Obviously I want us to go up but one of the main reasons is so we can keep this bloke at the club
