Some Leeds United fans were lavishing one of their club’s players with praise after Phil Hay wrote an article about the man in question.
The Athletic journalist wrote a feature piece on Mateusz Klich, covering topics from how he was told he may not make it as a pro to how his parents drink when watching the Whites in action. Klich has been with the Yorkshire outfit since joining the club from FC Twente in the summer of 2017. He was close to leaving after Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival in 2018, however, has since enjoyed a turnaround in form (SportoweFakty via Yorkshire Evening Post).
One fan believes the 28-year-old is a ‘class act’.
Beautiful Phil. Thank you so much for this feature on one of my favourite players in Leeds. A class act who thoroughly deserves all these praises sung about him.

Back at the beginning of the year, the Poland international joined Gordon Strachan in making 75 consecutive league starts for the team (via Jonny Cooper). Fans were left lauding the player after the post by the famed Leeds correspondent as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
If there was one player that proved himself, it’s Klich
