Leeds United: Fans left staggered after statistics about corners emerge after Wigan Athletic loss

Leeds United fans were left staggered after the numbers concerning the side’s ability to defend and score from corners emerged following their loss to Wigan Athletic.

According to LUFC Data, the Whites have the lowest conversion rate from corners in the Championship, having scored just four of 231 attempts, leaving them with just 1.73%. With regards to defending them, Marcelo Bielsa’s men have the second-highest percentage of goals conceded from corners faced, having let in nine from 128 attempts (6.7%), a number only beaten by Huddersfield Town.

One supporter wasn’t a big fan of the stats.

However, it would seem as though this is not a new issue to the Argentine manager as he commented on the side’s ability from the long-range set-pieces back in October last year (via Team Talk).
