Leeds United fans were offering mixed opinions about what do to in a scenario that could have seen the Whites win their clash against West Bromwich Albion.
Heading into stoppage time, Marcelo Bielsa’s team broke on the home side with Patrick Bamford having been played through on goal. However, whilst he had the option to square it to Mateusz Klich, he opted to take the shot on instead.
One fan asked the Leeds faithful what they would do in that scenario, whether they would shoot or square the ball? And the responses proved to be mixed.

The move didn’t prove to be too costly for the Yorkshire outfit, who retained their place at the top of the Championship table.
However, Dean Ashton was less than pleased with Bamford for failing to square ball as he claimed the forward was ‘selfish’ (via EFL on Quest).
Fans couldn’t be separated on whether they would pass the ball to their teammate or shoot themselves as they took to Twitter to react.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:
I dont think you do square it. It happens so quick. Unless you have seen that late run at the right time you shoot. Cutting it back into an area if you arent 100% sure a player is there. I want my striker shooting in this sort of situation, picture makes it look worse

The right option was to square it obviously…but I want my striker to be greedy, shooting is something we actually need to be doing more of so I’m not going to slag him off for having a go

Shoot. He’s a striker, you got to

Personally, I’d square it, but Bamford had match winning hero in his head. Can’t blame the lad

If you’ve got abit about ya, you square that, you just feel the situation. But understand he’s gotta shoot
