Jean-Kevin Augustin has endured a slow start to life at Leeds United and Jermaine Beckford has voiced his confusion over the signing of the Red Bull Leipzig loanee.
The former Elland Road favourite questioned the decision to sign the Frenchman as he claimed it was strange the club made a move for a player, who is not ‘ready’ for the Championship (via Sky Sports). However, he says that he thinks Augustin would go on to be a ‘hit’ for the Whites, calling the France youth international ‘direct’ and ‘very powerful’.
Following his January move, the £12.6m-rated, as per Transfermarkt, forward has been limited to just 33 minutes, coming off the bench in both of his appearances for the club. He has struggled to make an impact during the fixtures, failing to get a shot on target against Nottingham Forest and Brentford.
