Leeds United: Fans pleased after Whites thrash Middlesbrough 4-0

Leeds United fans were on cloud nine after the Whites thumped Jonathan Woodgate’s Middlesbrough side 4-0 to climb to the top of the Championship.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were in rampant mood as they took just three minutes to take the lead with Patrick Bamford heading home (via BBC).

Mateusz Klich then had a shot deflected past ‘keeper Aynsley Pears to double the side’s lead. Helder Costa then scored the side’s third before Klich completed his brace and earned the side their fifth consecutive win in the Championship.

The result sees the Yorkshire side climb to the top of the table ahead of West Bromwich Albion’s clash against Preston North End tonight.

Despite the comfortable win, Bielsa warned his side that there is a long way to go before the season is finished.

However, Leeds fans were extremely pleased with the win on Saturday afternoon as they took to Twitter to voice their happiness.
