Some Leeds United fans were showering their fellow supporters with praise after a clip of the Elland Road faithful emerged from their FA Youth Cup tie against Manchester United.
In a post by Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Urquhart, the fans can be seen singing in full voice as they occupy the away end at Old Trafford. However, their support was in vain after the Whites went down 1-0 to their Lancashire-based rivals thanks to a goal in the 60th minute.
One fan labelled the faithful as ‘superb’.

This comes after influential figures recently came out to speak against some supporters for their abuse on social media. At the beginning of this week, former player Tony Dorigo blasted the fans for their abuse of the first-team players amid the club’s poor run of form, a message that was endorsed by majority owner Andrea Radrizzani. Director of football Victor Orta has also labelled some of the criticism aimed at himself as ‘unfair’ (via Leeds Live).
Fans were left praising their supporters who went to Old Trafford after the clip of them in attendance at the game emerged as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Yorkshire faithful:
