Leeds United: Fans praise Luke Ayling after his performance in draw against Brentford

Some Leeds United fans have been lauding Luke Ayling after the defender’s performance in the draw away to Brentford on Tuesday night.

Ayling endeared himself to the Yorkshire faithful after a video of him giving an interview following the loss to Nottingham Forest appeared. The Englishman looked close to ‘tears’, according to one supporter, as fans showed their love for him. It seems as though the south London-born right-back was a man on a mission as he produced a brilliant performance, making the most tackles (5), the second-most interceptions (3) and the third-most clearances (2) in the game at Griffin Park (via WhoScored).

One fan labelled him as a ‘real leader’.

Leeds Live seemed to think he was at his best as they gave the 28-year-old a six out of 10, commenting on how he kept Said Benrahma quiet. Fans were also showing their appreciation for the figure after his display in the fixture against the Bees as they took to Twitter to react.
