Leeds United: Fans profess love for Eddie Nketiah after he waves goodbye to Whites

Leeds United fans were showing their love for Eddie Nketiah after the youngster’s loan spell at the club came to an end.

It was revealed by both the player, in a Twitter post, and manager Marcelo Bielsa that the striker will return to Arsenal.

The north London outfit are said to be less than happy with the number of starts the 20-year-old has made for the Championship outfit (via Football Insider).

Despite his lack of starts, Nketiah has enjoyed a brilliant loan spell with the Yorkshire side. He’s scored five goals and assisted a further one in just four starts across the Carabao Cup and second-flight of English football (via Transfermarkt).

He may well have played a pivotal role in the race for promotion having won the side five points this season in the wins over Brentford and Barnsley.

There were emotional scenes following yesterday’s draw with Nketiah having gone to the away end at The Hawthorns to wave goodbye to the Leeds fans.

Fans were full of warmth for the player as they took to Twitter to shower him with love.
