Leeds fans were reacting pessimistically after Jean-Kevin Augustin started for the under-23s in the game against Sheffield Wednesday.
His start was the first time the on-loan Red Bull Leipzig man put on the famous white shirt following his move from the Bundesliga outfit last month. It was an appearance which was the 22-year-old’s first since the 20th of January, a fixture in which he started a Coupe de France match against Saint-Pryve FC (via Transfermarkt).
One fan thought his appearance was left stunned by the news.
Absolute madness, bound to get injured and be out for rest of season

He was left out of the Yorkshire team’s loss at home to Wigan Athletic, a move by Marcelo Bielsa that raised eyebrows among supporters (via Football Fancast). The Argentine made it crystal clear following Saturday’s fixture, that Augustin would not be ‘exposed’ to the Championship until he had adapted to the team’s style of football (via Phil Hay). Fans were left feeling negative about the fact he was starting for the youth team as they took to Twitter to react. Here is a selection of tweets from the Elland Road faithful:

This is quite humiliating for player of his calibre isn’t it?
