Leeds United: Fans react to Kalvin Phillips’ incredible gesture

Many Leeds United fans have reacted to a gesture made by player Kalvin Phillips that has emerged on social media.

The midfielder has been in superb form this season for the Elland Road outfit, contributing on a consistent basis to help Marcelo Bielsa’s side sit top of the Championship table.

The 24-year-old has played in no less than 34 games for Leeds in all competitions this season and will undoubtedly feature heavily for the Whites when football returns from the recent postponement due to the pandemic.

Phillips initially began his career via grassroots, playing his younger years with Yorkshire club Wortley Juniors, before impressing local scouts and gaining a move to Leeds’ academy.

Signing a professional deal in 2014 at Elland Road, Phillips has gone on to become not only one of the club’s best players, but arguably one of England’s brightest talents. With nine games remaining in the Championship season, Premier League football could now be the next step in the youngster’s career.

Aside from football, Phillips has gained plaudits of late for a photo that emerged via social media of him purchasing a woman’s shopping after it is claimed she forgot her purse.
