Some of the Leeds United fans on Twitter have been calling for the club to sort out Kalvin Phillips’ contract situation.
if the club can meet his expectations contract wise then there’s a good chance he’ll sign it. They haven’t done that yet though.

One supporter asked Phil Hay what he felt of the reports that the defensive midfielder could look to force a move away from Elland Road this summer (The Sun) and the former Yorkshire Evening Post journalist produced a rather positive answer.
He claimed there would be a good chance that Phillips would sign a new deal if his demands were met, although he stressed Leeds were yet to do that.
The 23-year-old was a mainstay in Marcelo Bielsa’s team last season and played a huge role in helping the Elland Road outfit achieve play-off football before being ousted by Derby County.
Defensively, he was ranked top for tackles (2.6) and made 1.3 interceptions as he helped protect the backline from a number of attacks, but it could be said that he is more useful further forward.
The 23-year-old was one of the most active in the side when spraying the ball around the pitch, as he averaged 58.5 passes per match with an 82.1% pass success rate (per WhoScored). He was also effective when creating chances as he created 0.6 key passes per game, whilst chipping in with three assists and one goal in his 44 appearances.
And, fans have taken to Twitter to further highlight how important he has been to the club over the last 12 months and have called for them to get him tied down to a new deal as quickly as possible.
Here are just some of their reactions to Hay’s latest tweet…
C’mon @andrearadri pay Kalvin what he’s worth

If they don’t see Phillips as one of our top players/earners then that’s downright worrying. If it’s AR’s decision who is advising him?

@eointkiernan_82 we might need to have a whip around for KPs contract. Give him whatever he wants simple!
