Leeds United fans were showing their support for former Whites defender Sol Bamba after quotes emerged revealing the part he played in the signing of Jean-Kevin Augustin.
According to the Cardiff City player (via The Athletic), he spoke to the 22-year-old forward about making the move to the Yorkshire outfit, claiming he told him ‘everything he needed to know’. Bamba also revealed that Manchester United made a late phone call in order to get the Red Bull Leipzig man to come to Old Trafford; however, he had already made his mind up.
Bamba enjoyed a fairly short career at the Elland Road club, making 56 appearances over the course of three seasons. He also captained the club on numerous occasions (via Transfermarkt).
