Many Leeds United supporters have been using social media to slam Jack Harrison’s crossing abilities, after the Elland Road outfit were pegged back to a draw by Derby County on Saturday.
Harrison started the Championship affair on the left-hand side of Marcelo Bielsa’s midfield, which was the seventh instance of the Manchester City-owned winger plying his trade on the left channel this term.
The Stoke-on-Trent-born forward enjoyed one of his better days on Saturday, in some regards, as he fashioned three shots on goal before being hauled off in the 58th minute – the joint-most shots he has recorded in a league game this term, per WhoScored.
Former England U21 international Harrison also won his most aerial duels in a second-tier game so far this season against Derby, and penned a better pass accuracy rating than in three of his prior league appearances in 2019/20.
That said, Harrison only completed 67% of his 27 attempted passes on Saturday, which was the lowest pass accuracy rating of any Leeds player to have started against Derby.
According to Stats Zone (via Outliers on Twitter), Harrison also misplaced each of his eight attempted crosses into the box, while his only pass directed toward the six-yard box also failed to find a teammate.
Harrison struggling to find a teammate has been a consistent issue with his game this season, in the eyes of certain members of the Elland Road faithful.
Here are a selection of the messages shared after the Derby County draw…
Harrison plays as if he has never learned wingplay craft. He looks down and crosses blind every time. #lufc

Harrison’s time starting is done for now. Nearly 15 crosses first half easily and not a single one hit a man. Costa has to start at Charlton #lufc

I think Costa in for Harrison is the more pressing need. Harrison tries hard but quality of his crosses was generally poor today.
Bam ford gets into the right positions and hold the ball up well so understand why Bielsa sticks with him— David Palmer (@davestillravin) September 21, 2019
Too often Harrison crosses blind into the box. That is *the” issue. #lufc #NotAWinger

Today, I think Jack Harrison completed 0 crosses out of a possible 9. How any one thinks this is acceptable is beyond me. Having an immense first touch is completely irrelevant if it doesn’t end up with a ball in the box. So frustrating. #lufc

Saw a stat today that Harrison has completed 1 of 34 crosses this season. That surely can’t be true! Extremely poor beyond belief if so. #LUFC #MOT

Pablo could do with a spell on the bench
Tyler Roberts needs to come in
Harrison please spend longer on practicing crosses
And I think Bamfords confidence is shot
Glad away game next up#Lufc— Neil (@NeilWil69716245) September 21, 2019
Give us Costa instead of Harrison. No excuse for this performance. Only 2 successful passes/crosses into the box. Only 1 attempted and failed crossed to the 6 yard box. #Lufc #statszone pic.twitter.com/W5OPmaQN4s
