Leeds United: Fans torn over three players in ‘most disappointing player’ vote

Share

Many Leeds United fans have revealed the players they think have been the ‘most disappointing’ this season.

With football at a current standstill due to the pandemic, fans have been engaging more than ever via social media, with many fan accounts holding votes on certain aspects of the season so far.

Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side sit one point clear of West Bromwich Albion at the top of the Championship table, and very much look on course to gain automatic promotion to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years.

Blessed with some good performances and consistent ones at that, Bielsa has heavily relied on his squad to bounce back after play-off disappointment last term, losing to Derby County in the semi-final.

Whilst many have been in good form, the club’s fans have been debating the players who they feel have not been that impressive.

Spanish keeper and Leeds number one Kiko Casilla was mentioned by fans,  having struggled for form over the festive period and picking up an eight-game ban for racial abuse earlier this year.

Another player who struggled for form over the winter period was striker Bamford, although Bielsa has remained confident in his ability, continuing the select the former Middlesbrough and Chelsea man to lead the line. Helder Costa is another player mentioned, having only managed three goals and three assists in the Championship (Transfermarkt).
