Leeds United fans may be eager for the club to bring in more signings before the window closes at the end of the month given their run of results and they might just be about to get their wish. Indeed, The Athletic’s Leeds writer Phil Hay posted on Twitter that Manchester City academy prospect Ian Poveda is having a medical today and his move should be completed ‘later’, presumably on Thursday evening.
The 19-year-old began his career at the Barcelona academy before moving to Brentford and then being picked up by Man City in July 2016. A right-winger, he has played six times in Premier League 2 this season, scoring once and assisting twice, and his two goals in the UEFA Youth League point to a promising prospect.
Interestingly, he was praised by Pep Guardiola on this term’s pre-season tour, where he said the Englishman played “incredibly well” against Wolves. With that in mind, Leeds fans saw the tweet from Phil Hay and many replied to show just how excited they are to see a player moving to Elland Road who’s gained such high praise.

Liking this one. Looks like he can do the Roberts role playing behind Bamford, running directly at and going past defenders

Leeds fans, who else do you think Marcelo Bielsa should sign this window?
