Leeds United: Fans discuss whether Patrick Bamford should continue as first choice striker

Many Leeds United fans have analysed Patrick Bamford’s performances this season via a social media debate.

The 26-year-old striker has been an important part of Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season in what looks likely to be a promotion winning campaign to the Premier League.

Despite his continuing starts for The Whites, the former Chelsea youngster has suffered dips in form, netting 13 goals in 36 league appearances, but going seven games without a goal during the month of February.

Bielsa though has very few options at Elland Road in terms of a striker, seeing Frenchman Jean-Kevin Augustin make limited appearances since arriving in January due to injury problems.

With Premier League football expected to arrive for the 2020/2021 season at the Yorkshire club, Bielsa will undoubtedly be looking to strengthen his options, and it will be interesting to see if Bamford remains the number one choice for the Argentine.

Who should start in the lone striker role of Leeds’ side has been a big debate amongst fans of the club, who have now been heavily contemplating whether or not they would like to see Bamford handed the chance in England’s top flight.
