After a miserable run of nine defeats in twelve across all competitions, Arne Slot’s side claimed a much-needed 2–0 win over West Ham, with Alexander Isak grabbing his first Premier League goal for the club before Cody Gakpo wrapped things up late on.
But the Reds are still far from last season’s standards — and January now looms as a crucial turning point.
Liverpool Ready to Bid for Camavinga
Liverpool are reportedly preparing a €60m (£53m) offer for Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga as they look to reinforce Slot’s midfield this winter.
According to CaughtOffside sources, the Reds are serious about testing Madrid’s resolve, with Slot viewing the 23-year-old as a key long-term piece of his rebuild. Camavinga has made 13 appearances this season and continues to be one of Europe’s most sought-after young midfielders.
Real Madrid aren’t actively looking to sell, but internal discussions have taken place regarding his long-term role — particularly with Aurélien Tchouaméni, Federico Valverde, and Jude Bellingham all seen as untouchable pillars of the squad.
Still labelled “sensational” by former manager Carlo Ancelotti and admired by Xabi Alonso, Camavinga remains highly valued at the Bernabéu, meaning any negotiation would be far from easy.
Liverpool’s bid will test Madrid’s stance — but securing a two-time Champions League winner at 23 would be a monumental coup if they can pull it off.
