After the news emerged last week that Tottenham were lining up a £44m bid for wantaway Barcelona winger Malcom, we discussed what this meant for the club.
After signing for the Spanish giants from Bordeaux over the summer, the 21-year-old Brazilian has struggled to impress, only making two La Liga appearances.
This has obviously meant that a host of clubs have shown interest in the player, with Tottenham lining up a bid. With that in mind, we asked you whether £44m was too much for Malcom, and these were the results:
It is clear to see that Spurs fans have no objection to the club spending big for the winger, with 80% believing that that price tag was acceptable. Although this would be a record transfer signing for the club, it is not necessarily that huge compared to transfers these days, and Tottenham may need to spend big if they are ever going to get the players that they desire in the future.
