Manchester City have reached an agreement on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian has given his OK to a deal at the Etihad until 2030, with a transfer fee now being negotiated between the two clubs.
Transfer expert Nicolo Schira has reported that PSG have opened the doors to a sale and that talks will advance once Ederson departs City. Ederson has a deal in place to join Turkish side Galatasaray, and City are currently in discussions over a transfer fee for their keeper.
Once City conclude that deal, they are expected to push forward for a deal for Donnarumma. PSG are believed to want a fee of around €50m for the 26-year-old who has been frozen out of the squad by manager Luis Enrique.
Enrique is understood to want a goalkeeper who is comfortable with his feet, and PSG have since signed Lucas Chevalier from Lille. Donnarumma announced last week that he would depart the French champions amid failed contract renewal talks.
City keen on Donnarumma as Ederson replacement

His current deal with PSG is set to expire in 2026, and the club wanted to reduce his €10m a year salary and give him performance-related add-ons instead. The Italian is said to have been left fuming by this offer, prompting a decision by all parties to sanction a transfer.
Donnarumma was left out of the PSG squad that defeated Tottenham on penalties in the European Super Cup, further signaling that his time at the club has come to an end.
Donnarumma played a pivotal role in PSG’s Champions League triumph last season. He made two saves in the penalty shootout win over Liverpool in the last-16, before denying Villa a late comeback in the quarterfinals with a string of quick reflex saves.
He followed that with more heroics against Arsenal in the semi-finals when he produced a series of close range saves to deny the Gunners a comeback. He had little to do in the final as PSG thrashed Inter 5-0 in Munich.
Donnarumma already has 10 years of experience and over 400 club appearances for Milan and PSG, having made his pro debut aged just 16. He also has 74 caps for Italy, winning Player of the Tournament at Euro 2020 as the Italians won the trophy.
