Rafa Benitez will be preparing for the upcoming Premier League season and will want to improve Newcastle United as much as he can before the transfer window closes.
The Spaniard has already completed deals for Martin Dubravka, Ki Sung-yueng and Kenedy so far this summer, however, it is still thought that he is largely frustrated with how things have gone.
Benitez would have been expecting to have the financial resources and backing from the owners following their Premier League finish last summer, however, he has yet to spend big, with the Slovakian goalkeeper coming in at £4million.
The Verdict:

Rondon would be a solid addition to the Newcastle side this summer and it could be a masterstroke of a deal if they can bring him in on an initial loan deal. Despite the fact they would have to pay £15m next summer for him, the £4m now would be considered a fairly cheap deal and would still allow Benitez some money to spend on other players.
The Magpies have been looking for a centre-forward for a while and the Venezuelan could prove to be the answer, as he has proven he can work hard with rather little support in the past.
Rondon proved to be a handful for defences at times and with the likes of Kenedy and possibly even Andros Townsend running down the wings, he could be the man to get them the goals they have lacked at times.
Newcastle fans – thoughts?
