Newcastle United: Fans appreciate takeover update from George Caulkin

Loads of Newcastle United fans have welcomed an update on the prospective takeover in the northeast as George Caulkin shared his latest thoughts on his official Twitter page.

The Athletic writer claims that his confidence as to whether the proposed deal between Mike Ashley and the Saudi-led consortium will eventually be approved by the Premier League has not wavered, adding that the buying side have always been bullish.

This suggests that Mohammed bin Salman, Amanda Staveley and the Reuben brothers will do all that is in their power to make sure that their bid is accepted so that they can move into the Tyneside club’s board.

Caulkin also said that the sellers, including current owner Ashley, want their money and expect the deal to happen, hinting that both sides of the respective bid have had positive tip-offs and guidance. However, the journalist did warn that the decision still has not yet come about and so the Toon faithful will have to wait just that little bit longer for its completion.
