Newcastle United fans have blasted striker Joelinton following their side’s 1-1 draw against Rochdale in the FA Cup on Saturday.
The Brazilian forward had a day to forget at the Spotland Stadium, wasting many chances as Steve Bruce’s side were largely outfought in the second half, despite dominating before the break.
Miguel Almiron gave the visitors the lead after some well-worked play from Christian Atsu on the wing, but 40-year-old substitute Aaron Wilbraham scored the equaliser for the League One side to send Spotland into sheer elation.

Joelinton had an afternoon to forget and his statistics summed up how badly the 90 minutes went for the £40m man.
Fotmob recorded that he lost 11 out of 17 of his duels, was dispossessed three times and had six shots inside the box, with the Magpies only having five shots on target all game collectively.
Supporters were furious with the Brazilian after the game and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he has to be sold, while another described him as “toothless in front of goal”.
