Lots of Newcastle United fans have welcomed an update on the prospective takeover from nufc.com after the website claimed that it will be ratified and announced before next weekend.
The source adds that this will follow the granting of formal approval of the deal by the Premier League, a process that has taken around five weeks, due in part to controversy over the Saudi involvement and efforts to restart the season.
There have been plenty of sources telling members of the Toon faithful different dates and general information regarding the proposed takeover at St. James’ Park, but judging by some of the comments on Twitter, it is widely accepted that this website in particular is a reliable source.
Given this information, loads of Magpies fans were buzzing as they have taken it as the bid being near completion. The purchase of the Tyneside club by the Saudi-led consortium comprising of the country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), Amanda Staveley and the Reuben brothers could finally be set for confirmation in the coming days.

Yeah fair point! A lot of ppl will look foolish if doesn’t happen?? Years ago I remember buzzing for the month to change as I used to go straight on, click on rumours and see who we’d been linked with.. knowing it would never happen under Ashley! Maybe I can dream again?! 😃

I know Biffa off https://t.co/YoXXvuXHux and have travelled with him many times to away games!
He’s mentioned the takeover only once in recent weeks and the story has been near the bottom of his website until now!
It’s lookin’ good if he’s got it at the top of his page!— FINK THE MAD-SAD GROUNDHOPPER! (@FINK97574911) May 10, 2020

They are always spot on with there info usually. They have rubbished many stories and been right about many more also. Throughout they have been very skeptical about takeover talk also.
