The St James Park faithful have one of the most successful managers in the world at their club, yet they all predict he’ll be off in summer through no one’s fault other than Mike Ashley.

Everyone knows that Rafa Benitez seems to love Newcastle United. The Spaniard’s family live nearby the club and he gets to manage in the Premier League with less expectation than his previous jobs at Chelsea, Napoli, Liverpool and Real Madrid have brought him. All seems perfect, right? Until you factor in Mike Ashley, the money-grabbing tyrant who seems desperate to suck the life out of Newcastle United.
Rafa Benitez is being forced to work on pennies at the club and it’s killing both the club and the gaffer. Talks of a takeover are all but over and with no new signings expected in January, the Magpies have lost hope of retaining their miracle-working manager, and who can blame them given how his relationship with Mike Ashley has been since he rocked up back in March 2016.

If there’s no genuine takeover on the offing by the summer he will definitely leave, who would blame him. He’s been loyal enough so far. No matter how well he is being paid it must be soul destroying for any manager working under this regime

If he’s not backed in January then he’s off in May bcos he’s had enough of having to be let down by Ashley we’re going nowhere under him . Rafa deserves better than this

Yes, and i wouldnt blame him. If Rafa goes to a PL team I may start following them instead of NUFC. I can't take Ashley's abuse any longer.

The Geordies hate the idea of losing Benitez, but the way things are going, the Spaniard will be gone long before Ashley sells up.
