Newcastle fans on Twitter are eager for Murphy to come good at West Brom

Newcastle fans on Twitter are absolutely buzzing with how their club’s Deadline Day business went. The Magpies had a great time welcoming both Miguel Almiron and Antonio Barreca sign, so much so that it almost got lost that Jacob Murphy left on loan. However, the Geordies have been wishing the 23-year-old well as he joins West Brom.

Jacob Murphy has become the second Newcastle man to be signed on-loan by West Bromwich Albion this season, following in the footsteps of Dwight Gayle was part of a loan swap last summer that saw Salomon Rondon join St James Park on a temporary basis at the same time. Murphy, though is a different player to Gayle and the Geordies are desperate for him to discover some form and come good.

As far as the Magpies are concerned, the winger still has a future at Newcastle and they want to see him thrive with them. So far in his career at the club, he’s struggled for form and confidence which has led to him getting less game time than he’s have liked when he initially made his £12 million move from Championship Norwich City to St James Park back in summer 2017.

Murphy may not have had the best of times at Newcastle so far but the fans are keen for him to get back to his best and show what he can do in the Championship and then hopefully in the Premier League next season.
