Newcastle fans have really done a U-turn when it comes to Isaac Hayden. At the start of the season, around August and in the aftermath of his red card against Cardiff, there were plenty of Magpies calling for his head. However, in the last few months, the now 24-year-old has turned it around and the fans would love for him to stay.

It really is no secret in the Northeast that Hayden is trying to get out of Newcastle United. The ex-Arsenal youth player has been angling for a move for a while now. The midfielder recently opened up on his difficult January transfer window as he waited with his future in the balance having previously handed in a transfer request last summer, yet he remains a Geordie after missing out on a move.
However, despite the 24-year-old’s recent issues and desperation for a move away, he has remained 100% committed to the cause at St James Park, and Rafa Benitez will be delighted that his midfielder is shining. The recent partnership of Hayden and Sean Longstaff may have been broken up by the latter’s injury, yet that doesn’t mean Hayden has been any less effective from his midfield base since then as he continues to thrive in the middle of the park.
