Newcastle United: Fans react as Zinedine Zidane is a target for would-be owners

Loads of Newcastle United fans have been reacting as Spanish publication DC have stated that the Tyneside club would double the salary of Zinedine Zidane if he were to join them as their new manager for next season.

As per the report, PSG and Juventus have also been interested in the Real Madrid manager, but it seems that he is greatly admired in the northeast of England. Mauricio Pochettino and Max Allegri have also been noted as potential suitors but it seems as if the would-be owners are keen to bring in the Frenchman.

Indeed, the 47-year old has followed on from his glittering playing career by being successful as a coach, as Real Madrid have won a relatively impressive 133 out of the 199 games for which he has been in charge, according to Transfermarkt.

In his reign, Los Blancos won three back-to-back Champions League titles as well as a La Liga triumph and several other major trophies (via Transfermarkt).
