So it does not come as a surprise what Rafa Benitez will be interested in adding a striker to his ranks in January, however, the man that could be targeted does come as a real shock.

However, it is also claimed that Newcastle may have to break their transfer record to bring him to St. James’ Park, with an eight-figure fee thought to be commanded for any possible deal to happen.
The Verdict:
Piatek would certainly be an excellent addition for Newcastle and has proven that he could be capable of finally sorting their goalscoring concerns out.
Salomon Rondon has started to find his feet in the black-and-white stripes of the Toon Army, however, the Poland international would instantly be an upgrade on the Venezuelan.
However, it remains to be seen if Mike Ashley will provide the finances to bring the 23-year-old to the northeast.
