Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are very excited to see how the Championship title race pans out this season.
Indeed, it had looked as though things were going to be very plain sailing for the Magpies this season with them racing clear of Brighton, but the Seagulls have now managed to pin them back.
The two sides are now level on points as we head towards the business end of the year and so any advantage they can get over the other is going to be crucial.

A big blow for Newcastle, then, with the flying full-back an important part of the Magpies’ surge so far this season.
The likes of Jesus Gamez will have to step up, then, and it remains to be seen how big an impact this actually has.
