Plenty of Newcastle United fans have flocked to some insight on the prospective takeover going on in the North East as Mark Douglas shared his ChronicleLive article on his official Twitter page.
As per the report, the journalist claims that from the back pages to the pink pages, the Tyneside club’s journey in the last five months has been an extraordinary one.
A club ticking along in the Premier League before January has been a major international story in recent weeks, especially after a deal was agreed between a consortium backed by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Mike Ashley to buy them.

Indeed, the PIF’s £6.6 billion spending spree has raised eyebrows in the finance world as they try to sniff out opportunities in the financial crisis that has been ushered in by the global pandemic.
The Magpies will be the 25th major investment of the year so far, ranked 13th of those in terms of amount paid out, as PIF gambles on travel, tourism, entertainment and energy firms bouncing back strong in the next three years (figures provided in the article).
