Loads of Newcastle United fans have been lauding the latest takeover update from George Caulkin as he responded to his followers on his official Twitter page.

As per The Athletic journalist, he believes that a decision on the proposed takeover will come soon, citing that beIN Sports were briefing that it was imminent according to their information.
Caulkin did admit that the whole process would be watertight and legally complex, but he does suggest that the final decision from the Premier League will be made sooner rather than later.

Members of the Toon faithful have been waiting for months now as to whether the prospective £300 million deal between Mike Ashley and Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-led group will be approved by the top flight, as the results of the Owners’ and Directors’ Test (ODT) are still not yet clear as to whether the would-be owners are deemed to be both fit and proper by England’s highest division.
With delay after delay being thrown in the face of the NUFC supporters, these Magpies lauded Caulkin for giving them another update and suggesting that a decision by the league will be made soon:
