Some Newcastle United fans have reacted to a report from ChronicleLive that gave nine reasons as to why NUFC supporters really do not like Mike Ashley.
The first reason given was the saga with Kevin Keegan, as the fan favourite resigned over player recruitment issues. The second was the relatively uninspiring appointment of Joe Kinnear, who succeeded Keegan. Third was the sacking of Chris Hughton, who left despite the Tyneside club being fairly comfortable in the Premier League table.

Another reason given was handing Alan Pardew an eight-year contract, as his previous spells at other clubs were somewhat underwhelming. Fifth was the renaming of St. James’ Park to ‘The Sports Direct Arena’ back in 2011, and sixth was Kinnear’s return, this time as a director of football.
The list went on. The Magpies’ second relegation from the top flight in 2016 was mentioned, as well as losing Rafa Benitez and the furloughing of staff in the wake of the global pandemic.
These members of the Toon faithful reacted to the article on Twitter:

Surely the treatment of @elgalgojonas is the most despicable act this poor excuse for a human being has inflicted in his time at NUFC

Don’t forget the shoddy way @elgalgojonas was treated during and after his recovery from cancer
