Newcastle United: Fans react to Lee Ryder report about behind closed doors games

Plenty of Newcastle United fans have reacted to the latest report from Lee Ryder for ChronicleLive after it was shared by The Chronicle on Twitter.

The article suggests that the Premier League may be forced to be played behind closed doors until the end of the year after the Bundesliga have apparently lead the way in bringing their players back to train this week. However, the FIFA President has warned domestic leagues not to move too quickly.

England’s top flight as well as the EFL and the Women’s Super League seasons have been suspended indefinitely following a global pandemic that is sweeping across the footballing world, meaning that many fixtures have been called off until it is deemed safe to carry on with each campaign.

A lot of members of the Toon faithful have been debating whether they would want the rest of the Tyneside club’s matches to be played behind closed doors in order to get the rest of the season finished, or whether they would rather wait further until it is safe so that they can watch their team with a full attendance at St. James’ Park.

These Magpies shared their thoughts underneath the tweet:
