Plenty of Newcastle United fans have reacted to an update on the prospective takeover in the northeast from Jim White after it was shared on talkSPORT‘s official Twitter page.
According to the Sky Sports presenter, the Premier League apparently have still yet to seriously examine all aspects of the bid, adding that it is going to be some time yet until the proposed takeover at St. James’ Park is complete. White also claimed that it is unlikely that there will be announcement of any sort over the weekend.

Indeed, the Saudi-led consortium, comprising of the country’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS), businesswoman Amanda Staveley and the billionaire Reuben brothers, are still awaiting official confirmation as to whether their deal to replace current club owner Mike Ashley will be fully approved by the Premier League.
However, whilst there are still delays, several members of the Toon faithful will need to keep waiting before the Tyneside club sees an official change in ownership.
