Newcastle United: Fans react to takeover update from Lee Ryder

Plenty of Newcastle United fans have been reacting to an update on the prospective takeover in the North East after Lee Ryder shared his article for ChronicleLive on his official Twitter page.

As per the report, the would-be buyers of the Tyneside club are hoping that the resolution of Project Restart will clear the path for the Premier League to conclude their ongoing owner’s and director’s test.

A series of long-winded video conferences and paperwork has not helped the takeover process for businesswoman Amanda Staveley, the billionaire Reuben brothers and Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), fronted by the country’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS).

However, the resumption of the top flight, after two months of no football due to the outbreak of the global pandemic, has slowed down the process of the £300 million deal.
