Newcastle United: Fans talk about Paul Dummett’s tweet as players return to training

Many Newcastle United fans have been talking about a tweet from Paul Dummett after he posted on his official Twitter page with the caption: ‘Looking forward to being back tomorrow’.

Indeed, this is a reference to the Tyneside club’s return to training following the global pandemic outbreak, as players will be hoping that they will return to the football pitch soon and thus be ready for if and when they do.

All players are set to return in small groups to the club’s training ground this week as they begin their preparations for the proposed resumption of the 2019/20 Premier League, as per the Magpies’ official website.

By the looks of it, Dummett will be one of these, as he is aiming to fully recover from an achilles tendon rupture that had kept him out of NUFC’s last 11 games in all competitions, according to Transfermarkt.

Nevertheless, the 28-year old will be looking to finish off the season strongly having made 17 appearances in all competitions already in this campaign (via Transfermarkt).

These members of the Toon faithful reacted to his post, though most were more concerned with asking the Welshman if he had any information regarding the proposed takeover at the club…
