Newcastle United’s season has been truly awful so far, and it doesn’t look to be getting any better any time soon.
Fans of the club would be forgiven for thinking their home tie against Brighton and Hove Albion was the perfect opportunity to change their fortunes. Instead, they were forced to endure another embarrassing defeat, and watch ultimately watch their team fall well short in pursuit of their first league victory.
To make things worse, there were a number of chances to make up the deficit; none of which were taken.
One player in particular, Ayoze Perez, fluffed a few too many for fans to ignore. The Spaniard might not want to check his mentions today…

Needless to say – something needs to change at Newcastle, or they could be heading towards an embarrassingly low points total. Indeed, for Perez in particluar, a rapid improvement is needed if he’s going to save his Toon career.
