The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's (KSA) Public Investment Fund (PIF) are reportedly now 'considering' signing Emmanuel Dennis for Newcastle United.

The Lowdown: Striker wanted

The St James' Park outfit would like to bring in a new striker before the transfer window closes, with the likes of Ludovic Ajorque and Benjamin Sesko recently being linked with a move to Tyneside.

Within the Premier League, Chelsea's Timo Werner and Armando Broja have also been of interest, so it will be interesting to see what path they go down in terms of whether they stay closer to home or look abroad.

The Latest: Dennis considered

Taking to Twitter, Ben Jacobs has revealed that Newcastle are one of 'several' Premier League teams who are now 'considering' a move for Dennis.

The CBS Sports Golazo journalist tweeted: "Newcastle one of several EPL clubs considering Watford’s Emanuel Dennis as well."

The Verdict: Smart signing

Given that he has been relegated with Watford, Dennis is likely to be available for a cut-price fee, so he could well be a smart signing for the Tynesiders if they move for him.

Hailed as a ‘beast‘ by journalist Declan Carr midway through last season, the Nigerian managed a very impressive ten goals and six assists in the top flight for a relegated team (Transfermarkt).

According to FBRef, he shares similar qualities to West Ham United star Jarrod Bowen, who has also been linked with a move to the Magpies in recent months, but has been valued as high as £75m by the Hammers.

Nonetheless, Dennis could be seen as a much cheaper and more realistic alternative for Newcastle to pursue.
