There has been various speculation in the Football Transfer Tavern that Newcastle United star Yohan Cabaye will be leaving the club this summer.
But the Daily Star reports that the club have placed a massive £25 million price tag on his shoulders which could put off potential suitors.
The French international has been linked with a move back to his native country at big spenders Monaco while new Manchester United boss David Moyes is known to be an admirer of the midfield dynamo.
Cabaye has made a big impression on the North East side since joining in a £4.5 million deal from Lille in 2010 and the Magpies will be eager to keep the cultured midfielder for the new campaign as Alan Pardew looks to improve on last season’s disappointment.
Any transfer fee received for the Frenchman would pay towards the possible cost of Saint-Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who Pardew has made his top target when the transfer window opens officially tomorrow.
