Speaking to TalkSport via the Chronicle surrounding Newcastle United boss Steve Bruce’s tenure so far on Tyneside, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has claimed he is a ‘brilliant manager‘ whilst condemning the notion he is a puppet under Mike Ashley.
Jordan, who held majority shares in Palace before selling the club, now voices his opinion regularly to TalkSport – speaking on the radio show alongside Bruce’s son, Alex, surrounding the former Sunderland manager’s tenure on Tyneside.
So far, Bruce has managed to guide Newcastle to 13th in the Premier League table with just one win out of their last five – but it’s also worth pointing out they have also lost just once in that time. Their latest outing, a 4-0 drubbing at the hands of Arsenal last Sunday, has brought back the debate over whether Bruce is indeed the right man to take Newcastle forward following the departure of Rafael Benitez last summer.

How’s this showing he’s not a puppet? Not one word shows he pushes Nufc board for things like improvements to facilities etc
