Nottingham Forest fans praised captain on the night and ‘one of their own’ Joe Worrall after the Nottinghamshire side beat rivals Derby County 3-0 in the Carabao Cup.
Worrall started and captained the side during the rout against Derby last night, and fans couldn’t be happier for the hometown hero.
The 22-year-old was born and grew up in Nottingham, and has been playing for the club since signing a contract at the tender age of 14 (via Nottingham Forest).
The youngster has made six appearances this season, including starts in all five Championship games, finishing every game (via Transfermarkt).
Nottingham Forest have enjoyed a good start to life under Sabri Lamouchi, and remain unbeaten in the last six games in all competitions, scoring 12 goals in the process (via WhoScored).
