Having already secured the services of Sammy Ameobi, Yuri Ribeiro, Alfa Semedo, Tiago Silva and Arijanet Muric for the upcoming campaign, Nottingham Forest have now bolstered their squad by signing Albert Adomah on a free transfer.
Brought in on a two-year deal (via BBC Sport), the 31-year-old it set to join up with the rest of his team-mates for their pre-season trip to Greece in which they will face Atromitos and Olympiacos.
Having spent the last three years at Aston Villa, Adomah was released by manager Dean Smith following the club’s promotion to the Premier League in May having made 125 appearances in all competitions (via BBC Sport).
Speaking to the club’s official website about his move to Forest, the winger said: “Every time I’ve been here, the support has always stood out to me.
I remember playing at The City Ground for Bristol City and the atmosphere was really intense.
“I know the attendances were really strong last season so I’m hoping to be able to show my talent in front of a massive City Ground crowd.
“Having been an Aston Villa for the past few years, it’s an absolute pleasure to sign for another massive club and hopefully I can show people what I can do.
“It is a really exciting time for me.”
Reacting to the news of Adomah’s arrival on Twitter, plenty of Forest fans expressed their delight towards the move.

Adomah signs!
It’s good we’re amassing such a huge squad. Strength in depth is important in football.
If your first 11 gets injured it’s important to have another 11 that can step in, then another 11 after that. #nffc— Positive Paul Taylor (@PositivePaulTa1) July 10, 2019
Something #nffc have lacked for years is a physical presence. Now got Adomah, Semedo & milosovic, all physical & over 6ft, be nice to see us improve in that area.

Happy with #nffc business so far, Adomah should be a good addition

Having featured on 372 occasions in the Championship during his career (via Transfermarkt), Adomah will be hoping that he can use his wealth of experience at this level to help Forest better the ninth-place finish that they achieved last season in 2020.
