MARCELO BIELSA MAKES MUCH-NEEDED SIGNING
Leeds United’s only natural central defenders are Pontus Jansson and Liam Cooper, with Aapo Halme no longer being included in the first-team at Elland Road.
Therefore, Marcelo Bielsa can secure a much-needed signing in the form of Liam Lindsay in the summer as the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Gaetano Berardi have had to play out of position at the heart of the defence.
Indeed, the Barnsley central defender would solve Leeds’ current defensive void and he has the potential to develop into a special player if he’s given enough minutes on the field.
GAETANO BERARDI WORRIED
Gaetano Berardi spent a large period of time out due to injury but he’s now returned to the first-team. Although, he’s only managed to enjoy seven minutes on the field since returning to the substitutes’ bench last month.
Indeed, the likes of Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling have been picked ahead of him at right-back, while Barry Douglas and Ezgjan Alioski have been Bielsa’s picks at left-back, so Lindsay joining would be sure to worry the Swiss defender as he could find himself at the bottom of the pecking order at the heart of the defence as well.
