Though an Ianis Hagi-inspired comeback saw Ibrox erupt as Rangers recorded a famous 3-2 victory over Braga last night, there was one man who invoked the ire of the Light Blues’ faithful despite the jubilant celebrations.
Indeed, as per the Daily Record, Glen Kamara struggled against the Portuguese opposition as they raced into a 2-0 lead, with his performance rated as a 5/10 and his night described as one ‘to forget’. The Finnish international ‘constantly gave the ball away in dangerous areas’ and he was eventually hauled off in the 53rd-minute for Joe Aribo, who then scored to make it 2-2.
Looking at the statistics from WhoScored, the former Dundee man’s pass completion rate was way down on 71.4% and he only made 21, suggesting he was unable to impact the game from the engine room. Considering he was linked with a move to Arsenal (per the Daily Mail) as recently as January, his performance can be considered poor in line with his exploits earlier in the season.
With that in mind, here’s a look at how fans reacted.
See what you can do when you sub off Kamara?

I’m a massive critic of Gerrard and his subs both personnel and timing but he got it spot on that 2nd half. That back pass header from Kamara was the final straw and he got him off and changed the game.

That early change in the second half by Gerrard was needed. Kamara dropped for the foreseeable future

I don’t ever want to see Kamara start over Aribo again
