Aston Villa suffered a setback in their pursuit of a new manager when Thierry Henry turned the chance down.
The Arsenal legend is expected to take up the role at AS Monaco, should they decide to sack Leonardo Jardim in the coming days.
The Portuguese man is a former assistant to Jose Mourinho, having enjoyed successful spells at both Chelsea and Manchester United in England, and is thought to left Old Trafford to seek a challenge as a manager.
Faria could look to bring John Terry with him as his assistant, someone who he knows well from their time at Stamford Bridge together.
The Verdict:

A number of names have been linked with the vacant Aston Villa role recently and it is difficult to know who exactly it will be.
Henry had looked a dead certainty recently, however, he now seems completely out of the running due to other developments.
Villa could look to use Faria as their new manager, as he has a great network of individuals in the game that have plenty of experience and knowledge that he and the Villans could thrive on.
It remains to be seen who the Championship outfit decide to employ, however, Faria could be an excellent addition as he looks to make his way into the world of management.
