Celtic will be determined to make this transfer window a successful one as the club bids to win its eighth trophy since Brendan Rodgers arrived.
Success is something the team have become accustomed to ever since the former Liverpool manager joined Celtic Park and long may that continue.
The battle for the Scottish Premiership is more intense than ever this time around, with Rangers now level on points with the Hoops.
In the past there has been a huge gulf in class between the hated rivals, something Celtic will intend to keep that way.
To do so, they need to enjoy a continuation of the good transfer window they’re having so far.
An improvement could definitely be found in defence, where Lazio’s Patric would be a huge upgrade on the current options Brendan Rodgers is blessed with.
Patric, (who is valued at £1.8 million on Transfermarkt) is a good versatile player who could be a great capture for Celtic.
Since joining the Italian side in 2015, Patric has played for the club on 58 occasions and at the age of 25, knows the game of football well.
With his experience of playing for such a big club, he won’t need time to adjust to Celtic’s similarly fanatical fans and big club stature.
Patric is capable of playing right-back, right, midfield, centre-back and left-back – quite simply the definition of versatile.
Celtic haven’t been at their best defensively this season, hence why the Spaniard would be such a good signing.
Brendan Rodgers isn’t afraid of getting things done and the signing of Lazio’s Patric really has the potential to be game-changing in the title race.
