The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments made by Joe Hart on Sky Sports after the Hammers earned a very credible 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. West Ham’s draw at Chelsea was a huge step for the club as they look to keep their Premier League status intact for another year. David Moyes’ side came out of the international break with a point to prove having lost three consecutive games by a three-goal margin against Liverpool, Swansea and Burnley. The Hammers came out of the blocks firing though, dispatching Mark Hughes’ Southampton 3-0 at The London Stadium before coming from behind through Javier Hernandez at Chelsea.
The club are now six points clear of the relegation zone with just six games left to play and look destined to survive for another year in England’s top-flight. The Irons’ total of 34 points isn’t enough to keep them up at the moment, although with only two wins needed in their last six outings to reach the Premier League’s magic 40-point mark, David Moyes can start to look ahead to next season. The London Stadium faithful will need to bring in reinforcements in the summer if they’re to avoid the close call they’ve had this season, but the fans will take any form of survival at this stage.

Dangerous. Drew with an underperforming Chelsea and beat an awful Southampton. Prior to that you lost 5 games out of 7… Scoring a miserable 6 goals…. Yes, dangerous indeed.
