Sheffield Wednesday suffered another poor defeat in the league last night as they slumped to a 2-1 reverse at Wigan Athletic, leaving their playoff hopes with a real dent in them.
The Owls have been good on the road a fair bit this season and that has been reflected in recent weeks in their cup run.
However, their league form in the last few matches has been sketchy to say the very least and fans are rightly frustrated with what they feel is a side not performing to its maximum level in terms of raw effort, let alone anything else.
After the full-time whistle, a barrage of dismay was unleashed by fans on social media and, perhaps crucially for the future of many at the club, Garry Monk let fly too.
